your donations make the difference

Caring for and maintaining the welfare of 200+ cats and kittens is an extremely costly endeavor. For the most part, Cat Depot, a nonprofit 501(c)(3), no-kill feline sanctuary, depends on private donations from the community to assist us in the daily, individualized care of each cat.

Please consider making a contribution to assist us with caring for the welfare of these deserving felines. Or, you can sponsor an individual cat by pre-paying its adoption fee. However you do it, because we are a charitable organization, a portion of your donation is tax deductible.

spread the word

There is a tremendous need for you, as a responsible pet owner, to get involved and help with the serious pet overpopulation problem. The following statistics, provided by the Humane Society of the United States, reflect the severity and the necessity to spay and neuter all pets:

  • number of cats and dogs entering shelters each year: 6-8 million (HSUS estimate)
  • number of cats and dogs euthanized by shelters each year: 3-4 million (HSUS estimate)
  • average number of litters a fertile cat can produce in one year: 3
  • average number of kittens in a feline litter: 4-6
  • average number of litters a fertile dog can produce in one year: 2
  • average number of puppies in a canine litter: 6-10

Part of responsible pet ownership must include helping to end euthanasia and homelessness for all animals. Please spay and neuter all your pets and thank you for your generosity!
