Help us replace our broken
microchip scanners

YouCaring fundraising projectWith more than 1,500 cats and kittens coming through Cat Depot's doors every year, our equipment wears down quickly. Recently, two of our microchip scanners have stopped functioning, leaving us with only one for the entire building.

We need to replace the scanners as quickly as possible. Your contribution will make our work easier - and ensure all cats and kittens are identified correctly.

The scanners help us find the homes of cats who are lost. They also ensure correct identification in the shelter and in the medical department.

For instance, when a litter comes in with five black kittens it's impossible to know who is who and who got a vaccine without being able to read the microchip. When someone adopts a cat, the microchip scanner ensures they get the correct history and medical records for their new furry friend.

We are now trying to raise $660 to replace both scanners. Help us through donating here!

Your support means the world to all of us - cats, staff, and volunteers!

Update - June 9, 2017

We have reached our goal thanks to an offline donor, but will continue the fundraiser to raise money for a backup unit as well.
