Events & Development Manager

Cat Depot, a progressive feline rescue, adoption, education, and resource center located in Sarasota, Florida is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Events & Development Manager. Position includes but is not limited to:

 

  • Assist with the creation of new and management of current fundraising initiatives and special events
  • Assist with donor development and stewardship including correspondence, retention, and tracking
  • Sponsorship and partnership generation
  • Assist with press/media relations
  • Maintain consistent branding and communications such as signage, forms, protocols, printing and mailings
  • Photography, videography, and editing
  • Graphic design (Photoshop and InDesign knowledge a plus)
  • Updates of community calendars

 

Candidate must have a minimum of five years’ proven experience (10 years preferred) in fundraising and development in addition to a strong marketing background with knowledge of digital marketing, exceptional oral and written skills including creative writing for newsletters, blogs, e-blasts, press releases, and donor solicitations. Excellent proofreading skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team are critical. Candidate should be proactive, innovative and have the ability to think "outside the box", meet deadlines, and positively motivate staff, volunteers, and donors.

Volunteer & Education Manager

 

Cat Depot, a progressive feline rescue, adoption, education, and resource center located in Sarasota, Florida, is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Volunteer and Education Manager to lead and grow both program areas. Position includes but is not limited to: 

  • Develop and maintain volunteer guidelines, materials, and procedures
  • Conduct the recruitment, orientation, and training of all volunteers
  • Maintain volunteer records and databases
  • Continue the growth of pre-existing educational and community programs such as Critter Camp and Namastray Yoga
  • Develop and implement new and innovative education offerings such as workshops, lectures, and public trainings
  • Participate in fundraising and community outreach opportunities to support Cat Depot’s mission

 

Candidate must have a minimum of five year’s proven experience (10 years preferred) in the management, training, and recruitment of volunteers as well as curriculum and program development and implementation. Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, car insurance, and college degree in a related field are required. Non-profit, human resources experience and/or working in an animal related field is a plus.

Veterinary Technician 

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician or CVT with a minimum of two years' experience for surgery, dentals, intake, ordering, inventory, tracking, and cleaning.
