Crinkle with his new family

Crinkle's Corner - Week 6

Hello there,

Have you heard the news?

My fur-ever family came in this weekend and 'dopted me! We had an instant bond - it was like love at first sight. My new parents picked me up in their arms and didn't want to let go. I will be joining a family with two other cats and a mellow dog.

Although I don't know the exact number, when I look back at my time as Mayor I can't help but notice there were a lot of cats and kittens who were 'dopted. I like to think it has something to do with me being a great leader. Do you agree?

One thing is for sure, I will miss the humans and feline friends at Cat Depot. The staff and volunteers took such good care of me until it was my time to go home. I meowed a huge "Thank You" to them as I was getting ready to leave.

Well, Typist tells me it's time to sign off. It has been a pleasure being your Meow Mayor. I will be sure to have my parents check in with you soon. Until next time!

My very best,
Crinkle

Crinkle's Corner, Week 5

Greetings all,

Will you be watching the Oscars on Sunday? In honor of the awards show, Cat Depot has a tradition called the A-CAT-emy Awards. The humans have been handing out prizes to the lucky winners and I won Best Actor in a Leading Role. How 'bout that? I dressed up for the occasion with my diamond bow-tie.

Guess who scored Best Actress in a Leading Role? None other than Shumara! We are quite the pair, if I do say so myself.

Other categories included Best Supporting Actress in a Foreign Film and Best Actor in a Western. The winners will be announced on Facebook before Sunday, so keep checking our page.

I love my little office called Seymour's Landing by the gift shop entrance. Shumara usually sits on the catio in Jack and Lucy's Place. We welcome new and repeat visitors!

My very best,
Crinkle

Crinkle and Shumara

Crinkle's Corner, Week 4

Hi again,

How was your Valentine's Day? We had a very exciting one at Cat Depot. The humans decorated the adoption floor and included photos of the S.O.S kitties in the shape of hearts. The four of us were flattered to be showcased.

I finally worked up the courage to ask Shumara to be my Valentine, and she said yes! She and I meowed at each other when she came to visit me. I tried not to blush. We chatted about how we would like to see each other more often. I'm hoping our human friends can make that happen.

I'm sharing Seymour's Landing with the Adoptions and Retail Manager, Margit. Please stop in to meet me, I'm right by the gift shop entrance. Shumara is still in Jack and Lucy's Place and it's no secret she loves talking to anybody and everybody.

See you soon!

My very best,
Crinkle

Crinkle's Corner, Week 3

Hello there,

Meow Mayor Crinkle here again. Although my new-found fame has brought me a lot of attention, I have yet to be 'dopted. It has been fun having so many visitors - and they come specifically to see me. Boy, do I feel special! I particularly love the head-rubs they bring.

Shumara is doing well in her new position as Senior Affairs Adviser. She knows, because I meow it to her all the time. You should go ahead and tell her too, she loves to hear it. Most likely, if you talk to her she'll meow back. She usually does.

I have some pretty exciting news today: both Shumara and I received packages in the mail, filled with goodies and toys. Cat Depot has a loyal friend, Mike, and he regularly sends gifts to the elected officials. Mike, if you're reading this, I want to extend a huge Thank You for your thoughtfulness. And I love catnip!

Just a reminder, you can meet Shumara in Jack and Lucy's pod, and I'm in Seymour's Landing by the gift shop entrance. Come see us!

My very best,
Crinkle

Crinkle's Corner, Week 2

Hello all,

There have been a lot of changes here in the governing office. It was a happy day when Stardust was 'dopted, and I am more than honored to take on her duties. But did you know my Senior Affairs Adviser, Honey, was 'dopted too, over the weekend? Great news for her and her new family. We wish her the best!

This left us thinking, "Who will be the next Senior Affairs Adviser?"

I'm still new to this whole mayoral position thing, so I meowed with my fellow felines here at Cat Depot for input. Of course the new adviser would have to be in the Save Our Seniors program. Oh, that brings me to more good news, both Bailey and Suki were 'dopted as well!

In the end, we decided to choose the kitty who is the most vocal: Shumara. She will be assuming Honey's duties immediately, and is already chatting about it to everyone.

Shumara is located in Jack and Lucy's pod, and I'm in Seymour's Landing by the gift shop entrance. We welcome your company - as long as you bring head-rubs.

Crinkle

Crinkle's Corner, Week One

Hello Everybody!

Guess who is the newest Meow Mayor? Well, I must admit the decision was mine, as I pulled rank and was self-appointed!

One of my most notable qualifications is having spent so much time with Bernard during his mayoral stint. And, if you've noticed, we've had a lot of luck with the Mayors being 'dopted, so I thought I would roll the dice and hope to be next.

Being in the "Save Our Seniors" program also made me front-runner for the position, because, in my opinion, we cats get better with age. I've been around the block here at Cat Depot and have quite the reputation, if I do say so myself.

Oh, please don't worry. Honey will continue her duties as Senior Affairs Adviser.

Please come by and introduce yourself, we would all like the company and cuddles.

My very best,
Crinkle
