According to The Humane Society of the United States, there are an estimated 50 million feral cats—often referred to as community cats—in the United States. Between the months of March and November, countless numbers of homeless kittens are born. Many are found by people like you who wonder, “What should I do?” Knowing a few basic skills can save their lives.
 

If you find one kitten, look around; there may be more. The average cat’s litter is three to five kittens. Search for mom;
she may be close by. The steps you take in caring for the kitten or kittens will depend on the conditions in which they are found and whether or not their mother returns.
