Parent and Me Volunteer Program - 8-15 years 


Thank you for your interest in serving Cat Depot as a Parent and Me Volunteer.

We require both the youth volunteer and their guardian attend a mandatory orientation to learn about the program, requirements, and commitment levels, before volunteering. The youth volunteer must be accompanied by a guardian at all times while volunteering. 
 

Socialize the cats and help increase their chance of finding a home

As a Parent and Me Volunteer, we require each a minimum commitment of 2 regular one-hour shifts per month for at least 6 months.

Volunteer shifts are offered 7 days a week based on availability, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Your hours are tracked and recorded with our Volunteer Program and are easily accessed by you when or if you need them for your child's school!

Some of the areas you can volunteer as a Parent and Me Volunteer Team include:

  • Cat Socializing
  • Costume Character Appearances
  • Community Outreach Tables
  • Fostering*
  • TNVR / Community Cat Program*

*requires an additional one-hour training

 

Information sessions are limited to 20 people and will be held on:

  • Tuesday, February 26, 2019 - 4 PM

  • Saturday, March 9, 2019 - 10 AM

  • Tuesday, March 26, 2019 - 4 PM

Please note there is a $30 Parent & Me Team Volunteer fee to cover all training costs, volunteer t-shirt and name tag. Fee is payable at time of orientation.
