Parent and Me Volunteer Program - 8-15 years 

Thank you for your interest in serving Cat Depot as a Parent and Me Volunteer.

We require both the youth volunteer and their guardian attend a mandatory one-hour orientation to learn about the program, requirements, and commitment levels, before volunteering. The youth/adult team goes through all training together and works together during each shift. 


Information sessions are limited to 40 people and will be held on: 

  • Socialize the cats and help increase their chance of finding a home



Time Commitment

As a Parent and Me Volunteer, we require each a minimum commitment of 2 regular one-hour shifts per month for at least 6 months.

Volunteer shifts are offered 7 days a week based on availability, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.


Some of the areas you can volunteer as a Parent and Me Volunteer Team are:

  • Cat Socializing
  • Costume Character Appearances
  • Community Outreach Tables
  • Fostering*
  • TNVR / Community Cat Program*

*requires an additional one-hour training

To register for an upcoming Parent and Me Orientation, please e-mail with the session date you would like to attend along with the youth's name and age along with the guardian's name who will be volunteering with them.

Please note there is a $20 fee per applicant to cover all training costs, volunteer t-shirt and nametag. Fee is payable at time of orientation.
